April 8, 2024 - Eureka, CA - The following is an overview of the Eureka City Schools Board of Education regular public meeting from Thursday, April 4, 2024.
- Fourth and fifth-grade students from the Washington Elementary Leadership Program recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Each student then presented reasons why they love attending Washington, such as the passionate teachers who make learning fun, nutritious food from the cafeteria, and a library full of fascinating books.
All items on the Consent Calendar were approved. Discussion/Action items were all approved and as follows:
- Master Facility Plan Update
- Accept Low Bid for Eureka High School Main Building Roof Recoating Project
- Accept Low Bid for District Office Roof Replacement Project
- Approve First Amendment to Agreement for Exchange of Real Property Between Eureka City Schools and AMG Communities – Jacobs, LLC
Presentations, reports, and discussions are solely meant to inform/update the Board and gain feedback, they were as follows:
- Citizens’ Oversight Committee (COC) Annual Report to the Board: Measure S and Measure T
- Annual Report on Adult Education
- After-School Education and Safety & Expanded Learning Program Update
- Local Control Accountability Plan Update
