Greetings Parents, Community and Staff,
There has been much information on Facebook, flyers and by word of mouth about the upcoming special Board meeting scheduled for Monday, December 4th, on the Winship Campus in the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. Up until this point, we have been following our normal protocol of posting our agendas on the website under the governance tab. I encourage you to visit this site whenever you have a question about a Board meeting.
In particular, this meeting was scheduled following our Board meeting November 9th where several parents spoke to the Board during the public comment portion of the agenda regarding the climate at Winship. Since the item was not on the agenda at that time, the Board, due to the Brown Act, was not allowed to discuss the item at length and requested staff to place the item on the agenda at a future meeting. We then set the meeting date of December 4th at Winship.
The Board's hope for this meeting is to explore potential solutions and ideas for advancing the program at Winship in a positive direction. All ideas are being considered.
If you are interested in this topic, please feel free to attend.
