Stagecoach Legacy Award Nominations
- Published: Wednesday, October 26, 2011
The Stagecoach Legacy Award is a wonderful way for the community to recognize teachers in Humboldt County for their hard work, dedication to education, and the legacy they imprint on our students and their community. It is also a way for teachers to receive a monetary donation to utilize in their classrooms directly. This is the eighth year of partnership to recognize and thank teachers in Humboldt County with this uplifting award program.
A total of $5,000 will be awarded to 9 teachers. Eight Stagecoach Award winners will receive $500 to spend in their classroom. One top teacher will receive the 2011 Stagecoach Legacy Award and $1000 for their classroom. The winners, their families, principal and superintendent, and nominator will be invited to a catered award event.
Nominations may be submitted from fellow teachers, faculty, community members, parents, and students for any part time of full time K-12 teacher in Humboldt County. The deadline for nominations to be received is November 18, 2011 by email or fax to Alison Hong-Novotney at the contact information below, or by drop-off at a Wells Fargo branch.
The nomination flyer can be obtained from the Eureka City Schools or Humboldt County Office of Education websites. Please pass the Stagecoach Legacy Award flyer to others and include in your organization’s newsletters/notices, so that our teachers have the opportunity to be recognized with this award!
Thank you for your help. Your communication to your schools and contacts in the community not only gains positive recognition for your teachers, but also helps to spark more community support for teachers.
The Humboldt County Office of Education and Wells Fargo Bank look forward to helping you recognize our special teachers!
