Governing Board Accepts the Resignation of Gregg Haulk

The Governing Board of Eureka City Schools announces that they have accepted the resignation of Superintendent Gregg Haulk who has accepted a position as Superintendent to the Huntington Beach City School District in Southern California. 

Haulk has been employed as Eureka’s Superintendent since July 1, 2007 and will leave the district at the end of July 2011.  With Mr. Haulk’s leadership, the district has realized strong academic growth and important facility upgrades.  The Governing Board wishes Mr. Haulk the best as he returns to his hometown of Huntington Beach.

The Governing Board has scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday, July 5 at 5pm in the District Office to discuss and hear public comment regarding the selection of an interim superintendent.   The Board welcomes input from staff and community regarding the characteristics they would like to see in the interim superintendent.
