Mediator’s Proposed Tentative Agreement
Between ECS and CSEA, Dec. 5, 2016
July 1, 2016
Increase Blue Collar and White Collar salary schedules by 3%
January 1, 2017
Increase District contribution to medical benefits by $35 per month ($1,021/mo.)
Increase District contribution to dental benefits by $11 per month.
Increase range placement one range for each of the following positions:
Custodian, Elementary School Lead Custodian, Instructional Assistant Indian
Education, Instructional Assistant Adult Education, Instructional Assistant Special
Education I, II and III, Instructional Assistant Interpreter/Tutor
Increase Blue Collar and White Collar salary schedules by 2.5%
Change column 7-10 to provide individual ranges 7, 8, 9 and 10 by using the difference between 7-10 and 11-15, dividing the difference equally, and applying to new ranges 8, 9 and 10.
January 1, 2018
Increase Blue and White Collar salary schedules by 1%.
Change all cells that are below $11/hour (after applying 1% above) to $11/hour.
Establish Committee to explore possible change in benefit vendor. A report shall
be issued by March 10, 2017.
Except as noted above, maintain status quo on Article V: Hours and Overtime, Article VI: Pay and Allowances, Article XI: Leaves, Article XIV: Safety, Article XV: Layoff and Reemployment, and Article XVII: Completion of Negotiations.
June 30, 2018
Contract expires. This is a one year extension of the current contract.
Note: This Tentative Agreement is subject to ratification by the CSEA Redwood Chapter #88 Blue and White Collar Units and the ECS Board of Trustees.
