Coronavirus Update March 13, 2020

Today has been another rapidly evolving day with issues related to planning for the coronavirus. We are continuing to be proactive in our efforts to plan for potential school closures. At this point, we still have no known students for staff with the coronavirus and we are continuing to work closely with the Humboldt County Department of Public Health. On Monday, we will have no school due to a planned professional development day for teachers.

Power Outage Information for Students and Families

As I am sure you are all aware, there is a PSPS (Public Safety Power Shutdown) planned to take place sometime tomorrow (Saturday, October 26th) mid to late morning. We have been advised to plan for a minimum of no power through Monday, more likely Tuesday, and possibly even through Wednesday.

Notice of Public Hearing

At its regularly scheduled meeting on October 1, 2019 at 6:30 p.m., the Eureka City Schools Governing Board will hold a public hearing to receive public comment on the determination of whether each pupil in the District has sufficient textbooks or instructional materials, or both, in each subject consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum framework adopted by the State Board of Education.
