While September is Attendance Awareness Month, our district’s pledge is to create a culture of attendance every day, every month. We know that achievement and student success is inextricably linked to attendance. Your school district leadership and staff are dedicated to ongoing communication, support and encouragement around the importance of showing up. The most important thing we can do for our children to be successful in life is to get them to school every day and every day on time.
Dear Parents and Staff:
Eureka City Schools (ECS) places a high value on principals and other administrators spending as much time as possible in the classroom supporting teachers, and watching and participating in student learning. Recently, administrators and principals, along with their secretaries and administrative staff, attended training involving office organization and techniques for more efficient time and calendar structuring. This training has caused ECS to change its procedure when a meeting or telephone call is requested, with the ultimate goal of allowing for the administrator or principal’s undivided attention to a parent or staff member on a specific date and time.
