Eureka High School Students are the DECA elite at the California Career Development Conference Competition:
Eureka High School’s DECA club (DECA = Delta Epsilon Chi) is part of an international association of high school students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality, marketing sales and service. At the recent state-wide competition in Santa Clara, our Loggers were top finishers: Finalist (one of top six in the state): Community Service Project for CASA: Ms. Joua Her; Finalist (one of top six in the state): Community Service Project for the Homeless: Ms. Mia Kia Cheng and Ms. Xee Lee; 2nd Place (2nd in state): Creative Marketing Project for the Hmong New Year: Ms. Kha Lisa Her and Ms. Pa Houa Cheng. The 2nd place Logger DECA team earned the right to compete in the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) held in Anaheim this April 29-May 3.
